Hello!
The question of the week may take a bit of research on your end, but I hope you'll learn something useful/interesting in the process. What year was your instrument invented?

There is a band workshop taking place at St. Francis High School on February 2nd in the morning. (877 Northmount Dr. NW). It's totally free, and includes individual clinicians, a mass rehearsal, and a pizza lunch! If you're interessted, let me know via email ([email protected]) and I'll get the nessecary info to you!
Hello Everyone!
The question this week is a bit different, I am going to ask you a personal question, so the answer isn't really so much a right or wrong one, more just because I'm interested. Who is your favourite composer, and why? Alternatively, what is your favourite piece of music, and why? I would like you to answer in the comment section, so everyone in each group can see! Here is the weekly question of the week for this week:
At the link to the right, there is free staff paper. What is the other name for staff paper? (following the link may help) Welcome Back, Everyone!
You might notice a few changes around here on the site. Feel free to explore the video archive of all the material you may have missed from the last term! Or maybe check out the new videos that are there for this term! On the right side of the home page there are some videos and materials to help you out in your practicing at home, and under those, you'll see recordings of most of your rep for the upcoming spring concert! (old rep below that) This term is shaping up to be an exciting one! can you tell by my use of exclamation marks that I'm getting pumped? For our spring show, I want to extend something early; If you would like to perform a piece of music as a solo, or duet, or anything really, in addition to the pieces we're performing as a band you are more than welcome. Let me encourage you to do so! It doesn't even have to be on your band instrument. Piano, ukulele, guitar, organ, saw, voice, ocarina, screaming-duck-dog-toy-thing, recorder, turntables, boom-whackers, etc. etc. etc....................... ALL are welcome. ~Harold |
