thank you for practicing daily to make you the best team player possible! Did you know that the strong players in the group make the band better? Do your best and we will all will win!
Senior band - until we have new music you know what to do! Intermediate band - We are very near the end of the lesson portion of the book. Next week we hope to add a new piece to learn for the concert. Please work in your blue books to the bottom of page 25 plus the pieces you already have. Beginner band - You have come so far this year! Work to the bottom of page 27. If you feel weak on certain notes or are unsure of musical terms be sure and use your book to remind you. The orange boxes on the top of the pages, the glossary and fingering charts at the back of the book are all tools to help you remember what we have learned. In the next couple of weeks we will be choosing more songs for the concert and we want you to be able to show all your new skill. Please note the adjusted calendar at the top of the page. Also, remember Harold posts videos each week to demonstrate concepts we've learned in class as well as inspire you to want to excel at your instrument. You will find the videos by clicking on the 3 lines in the corner of the banner at the top of the page.

um...what's the question of the week? It may just be my computer, but I don't have it.

there was no question last week but check back on Friday, We hope to have a 2 part question for you. Also, look for the question of the week to begin appearing in it's own post, previously it was always in the "notes from the podium" from Harold

thanks Fay, the question of the week usually appears in the notes from the podium posts. We will begin posting the Question of the Week under its own heading. You may look back over the weeks and answer any questions you find. You can still earn points on many of them.
